Gold Shield is grateful to the many donors who through the years have made it possible for the organization to award more than a million dollars for scholarships through the UCLA Alumni Association, $150,000 to the Oral History Program, and to establish an endowment of more than $400,000 for the awarding of the Gold Shield Faculty Prize. A Champagne Reception is held annually to thank the donors to Gold Shield's various projects and to honor Scholarship and Faculty Prize recipients as well as other outstanding members of the UCLA family. Donors who contribute $1000 or more may request that a one-year scholarship be named for the donor or for someone the donor would like to honor. Interested in donating? Gold Shield seeks contributions for its programs through the mailing of an annual Drive for Dollars brochure that requests donations and introduces the year's award-winning scholars. To be on that mailing list, contact Gold Shield and submit your name and address.
