The UCLA Alumni Association Awards Program was established by the UCLA Alumni Association "to honor our own." The Program enables the University to pay tribute to alumni and friends with manifest records of outstanding achievement in their professional fields, in service to their communitites, in public service, in academic pursuits, and in service to UCLA. Each year an Awards Presentation is held to bring the accomplishments of noted individuals to the attention of the campus and the community, thereby focusing public attention on the excellence of the University through its graduates.
