GOLD SHIELD BENEFITS

Gold Shield Benefits had a reputation for being "the best party in town for the money." These fund-raising events, annually held in the spring, generated the bulk of money for Gold Shield programs. In 1997, thanks to bequests from estates of members and other benefactors, Gold Shield was able to seek relief from labor-intensive preparation for the increasingly costly parties. But the memories prevail of the years of entertainment from each high-spirited event.
